H. P. Byramji & Co. (Pvt.) Limited is a full service brokerage house and member of the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
In 1934, Mr. H. P. Byramji, established H. P. Byramji & Sons, a partnership firm, that had been providing quality brokerage service for almost 80 years. H. P. Byramji & Sons was a family owned and operated firm and one of its partners was one of the founding members of the Karachi Stock Exchange. However, in 2013, to comply with Sub-Section (8) of Section 16 of the Stock Exchanges (Corporatization, Demutualization & Integration) Act, 2012, whereby only a Private or Public Limited Company shall be allowed to operate as a broker of a Stock Exchange in Pakistan, the firms status was changed from a Partnership Firm to that of a Private Limited Company.
As such, effective 7th May 2013, H. P. Byramji & Co. (Pvt.) Limited ("HPB") commenced operations and continued to operate out of its office located at 162 M.A. Jinnah Road, 1st Floor, B.K. Trust Building, Near Denso Hall, Karachi. However, the genesis of HPB remains unchanged " still family owned and still family operated by the third generation.
The Managing Director, Rayomund J.H.P. Byramji has managed the business for over 40 years. He is supported by his brother, Shahveer J.H.P. Byramji and his staff members who have been with him for more than 20 years.
